Magnetic Holography and Its Application to Data Storage

The principle of magnetic holograms and its application to holographic memory are reviewed. A hologram was recorded through a thermomagnetic recording as difference in magnetization direction reconstructed with the magneto-optical effect. To achieve bright reconstruction image, it is important record deep fringes on materials large Faraday rotation coefficients. This technique applied using transparent garnets material. first image dark noisy, but improvements conditions resulted error-free hologram. form fringes, insertion heat dissipation (HD) layers into layer proposed. It found that this HD multilayer medium showed diffraction efficiency higher than single medium, were also achieved, assisted recording. These results suggest media have potential applications data storage. In future, high density technique, such multiple recording, should be developed.
